What you need

tbsp butter

cup shredded cheese
cup warm water

tsp salt

cup flour

tbsp black pepper

Instructions
1: Combine warm water, egg, and olive oil in a large bowl. 2: Slowly add flour and salt until a dough forms; knead on a floured surface until smooth. 3: Divide dough into 2 parts and cover with plastic wrap; let sit for 20 minutes. 4: Boil potatoes for about 25 minutes, then drain and mash them. 5: Stir in butter, shredded cheese, and black pepper into the mashed potatoes. 6: Roll out dough until 1/8 thick, cut out circles using a cookie cutter. 7: Place potato filling in the center of each circle, stretch dough around it and pinch to seal. 8: Place on a floured dish and cover with a towel while folding the rest. 9: Bring a large pot of water to a boil; cook perogies until they float to the top, about 4-5 minutes. 10: Remove cooked perogies with a slotted spoon and let cool on a cutting board; rub with butter and place into a greased dish. 11: Optionally, serve with sautéed onions or pan fry until crispy.View original recipe
