Instructions
1: In a dutch oven or soup pot, cook sausage until brown (about 5 mins). 2: Add onion, peppers, and garlic and cook for another 5 mins until soft. 3: Add spices, stir, and cook for 1 min. 4: Add crushed tomatoes and rice. Once it comes to a simmer, add in broth and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 50 mins. 5: Season chicken with salt and pepper and cook in a frying pan on medium-high, flipping halfway through until chicken is no longer pink. Remove and dice. Add into the pot when there are 20 mins remaining. 6: After 50 mins, add shrimp and cook for another 5 mins covered. 7: Remove from heat and serve sprinkled with green onions.View original recipe
