A delicious and comforting meatless Monday dish that can be easily made at home. The recipe features pasta combined with a rich sauce made from onion, garlic, tomato paste, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for the whole family. Optionally, vodka can be added for extra flavor, but it cooks down completely.

What you need

tbsp butter

garlic clove

oz tomato paste

tbsp vodka

cup heavy cream

parmesan cheese

lb pasta
cup pasta water
chili flakes

fresh basil

Instructions
1: Chop onion and garlic. 2: Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook noodles 1 minute less than package instructions (don’t forget to save some pasta water before draining it). 3: Add olive oil & butter to a large skillet, once butter starts to melt add onion and cook for 3 minutes. 4: Add garlic and cook for one more minute, stirring. 5: Add tomato paste & stir letting it come to a dark brown color. 6: Add vodka if using & let it sizzle, once it’s evaporated, add milk and cheese. 7: Stir until a smooth sauce is formed. 8: Add cooked noodles, pasta water & more cheese. 9: Stir until well coated. 10: Serve with chili flakes & fresh basil.View original recipe
