Instructions
1: Cook brown lentils with 3 cups of water, bringing to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes, then drain. 2: Heat olive oil in a large skillet. 3: Cook diced onion for 5 minutes. 4: Add minced garlic, diced red bell pepper, and diced carrot. Cook until vegetables are soft. 5: Stir in the jar of tomato sauce or passata and vegetable broth. 6: Add spices: chili powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, coconut sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. 7: Bring to a boil and then lower the heat to simmer for 10-15 minutes. 8: If too thick, add more broth; if too thin, simmer longer. 9: Serve in buns or on greens, with an option to add shredded cheese.View original recipe
