A delicious Dal Masala made with cooked lentils, cumin seeds, onions, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, and spices, perfect for celebrating Holi.

1: Wash 1 1/4 cup red lentils and add to 3 1/3 cup water and salt, then boil for 25 minutes. 2: Heat oil in a large pot, add 1 tsp cumin seeds and 1 dried chili, sizzle for 1 minute. 3: Add 1 medium diced onion and cook for 5-7 minutes. 4: Add 1 tbsp fresh ginger and 2 minced garlic cloves. 5: Stir in 1/4 cup mild curry spice paste and cook for 2 minutes. 6: Add 2 diced tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes. 7: Add the cooked lentils and top with butter, a squeeze of lemon, and salt. 8: Serve with yogurt and cilantro.
